There isn't a week that goes by that someone doesn't call to tell me they miss my kitchen shop.
You know what? I do too.
In 2009, I hung my Swanky Fork sign out on Main Street in Red Lodge, Montana - a mountain town near Yellowstone Park. Over the next years, I met literally thousands of inspiring home cooks and chefs from all over the world. Nearly 100,000 cooking tools went home to kitchens and restaurants.
I truly enjoyed owning the shop - everything about it. I was always on the hunt for unique and beautiful cookware. Creating an art space for Swanky Fork visitors to explore was rewarding.
Jake is my Viking boy, my only son. He loved to play among the cooking gadgets hung on the walls. The better part of 8 years was spent working with product designers, traveling overseas to research global trends, buying at trade shows, meeting great teachers and introducing Swanky Fork to Montanans and travelers to our mountains.
While Swanky Fork no longer smiles along the street in Red Lodge, the shop created an amazing canvas to work from. I've connected with an extraordinary team to curate a Swanky Fork collection of cooking tools, textiles and culinary literature.
A little wine, small bites, laughter, good friends, music and a bit of Swanky Fork. I think you're really going to appreciate what's around the corner.
